I say they can be taken on, and be defeated with a closer look and an abandonment of accepted dogmas. What we are doing now is not working. Economics, environment, politics, religion and education as they are rehearsed and developed along historic trends are not developing society in a way that we want to go. We need to change our direction, our assumptions, and our goals. A hurricane can be stopped. Crime can be stopped. Poverty can be stopped. We can do better, but not by staying the course and working harder.
